On Monday, Woodpecker Class were fascinated by a talk from Julie Ball who is preparing for the 380th Anniversary of the Battle of Naseby as part of the Re-enactment Events on 14th June.

They loved it!!! Do you do any other history visits? My staff were so impressed with your interactions with our children.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for coming to visit us on Friday! The children absolutely loved it - it would be great if they follow it up with a visit to Naseby next week to celebrate the anniversary. And EVEN BETTER if we can continue this into next year with our next lot of year 5s

Our Year 8 students had a fantastic time yesterday taking part in an immersive workshop on the English Civil War run by the Naseby Project. As part of their learning, they explored the key figures in the conflict and even had the opportunity to dress up in period clothing and handle replica weapons. The sessions brought their learning to life and helped them understand the experience of soldiers during this important moment in British history.

Thank you once again for a fabulous assembly, the feedback from children (and teachers!) was great.

The highlight was taking part in pike drills, where students discovered how much strength and teamwork was needed to move in formation with the heavy weapons. There was plenty of laughter and concentration as they practised the moves soldiers once relied upon in battle.
